Replace that grommet with the daystar firewall boot and drill the hole out bigger and call it a day. It might be a good idea to run a couple of wire just in case you want to add some gauges in the future. When I installed gauges, I ran 4 wires. 3 for the gauge senders and a spare. I ended up using the spare for the boost gauge later.
