Webb3 apr. 2024 · Passenger side, there's a little rubber thingy sticking out from the wiring harness on the firewall behind the battery. Inside, take the plastic bracket out at the floorboard, run wire from inside of cab to the outside. Did mine last December and my buddy's '21 3500 last week. Nice to see another ham here! WebbThe single firewall port is miserable, I'm not sure if its because I have a Touring package and it has extra wires but I cut up the boot on both sides of the firewall and released some of the zip ties and I couldn't get anything through. I was worried I was going to cut up the wires so I gave up and checked the door jam. Replace that grommet with the daystar firewall boot and drill the hole out bigger and call it a day. It might be a good idea to run a couple of wire just in case you want to add some gauges in the future. When I installed gauges, I ran 4 wires. 3 for the gauge senders and a spare. I ended up using the spare for the boost gauge later.
