WebON June 6th 1915 at 11.45PM the L9 airship began to bomb Hull, with the city experiencing it's first and worst Zeppelin raid. The L9 was commanded by Kapitanleutnant Heinrich Mathy. 13 high explosives and 39 incendiaries destroyed 40 houses and shops and killed 24 people and wounded 40 without any retaliation. It hit Waller Street & Clarence Street.
